Chantal Biya Int’l Mountain Bike Race : All Eyes On Bagofit

Tomorrow August 30, 2025, this locality of the East Region will host cyclists from across Africa.

The long-awaited inaugural Chantal Biya International Mountain Bike race is set to begin tomorrow, August 30, 2025, in Bagofit, Abong-Mbang Sub-division, Upper-Nyong Division of the East Region. The event, holding specifically at the Hotel resort, tourism complex and agro-pastoral farm dubbed Bagofit Sun City, will see cyclists from across Africa compete for the different prestigious jerseys. 
Preparations for the race have been meticulously overseen by the event's promoter, Minister Joseph LE, who understands that the international recognition of the race requires more efforts. It is against this backdrop that he chaired a final preparatory meeting on August 27, 2025 in Yaounde that was attended by officials of the Cameroon Cycling Federation to ensure that all is in place. 
The race will be carefully monitored by the international race commissioner, Hendrico Burger from South Africa, who has been appointed by the International Cycling Union (UCI) to ensure the event meets international standards. A total of 103 cyclists are expected to participate in the competition, competing in various categories including elite men, elite women, and the prestige category. The event will ...
