2026 World Cup Qualifiers : Lions Begin Camping Today

Ahead of the games against Eswatini and Cabo Verde, Head Coach Marc Brys made public the list of 26 players on Friday August 29, 2025 in Yaounde

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon begin their training camp today September 1, 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde, preparing for two crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Eswatini on September 4 in Yaounde and Cabo Verde on September 9 in Praia.  Head Coach Marc Brys unveiled his 26-man squad with additional two reserve players on Friday August 29, 2025 at the FECAFOOT headquarters in Yaounde. The final 26-man squad includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and nine attackers. Two reserve players, Loic Etoga of SC Bastia and Ahmadou Moubarak, were also called up. Coach Brys’s selection features a blend of cohesion and continuity, including the notable return of veteran forward Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting and a first-time call-up for promising defender Mohamadou Nagida.

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou also makes his return to the squad after an extended absence.
