Cocoa, Coffee Producers : FCFA 406 Million Premiums For South West

Agriculture took centre stage in Buea on August 28, 2025, as 4,758 cocoa and coffee producers converged on the Buea Town Green Field for a premium payment ceremony chaired by Trade Minister, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana. A total of FCFA 406 million was distributed to reward producers for their contributions to the 2024–2025 season. Minister Mbarga Atangana disclosed that cocoa and coffee purchases amounted to FCFA 416 billion, underlining the strength of the sector. He pledged that Cameroon would no longer accept unfair international prices and urged young people to seize opportunities in agriculture.
