2026 Commonwealth Games : Emmanuel Tataw to Lead Cameroon Delegation

With less than a year to the 2026 Commonwealth Games, which will be held from July 23 to August 2, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland, the organizing committee is fine-tuning preparations to ensure a successful event. It is against this backdrop that Open Days were organized in Glasgow from September 2-4, 2025, for Commonwealth representatives from across the world. Eighteen Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) from five regions of the Commonwealth were represented by more than 40 delegates, including a selection of Chefs de Mission, team leaders, and support staff, who will help their respective associations prepare for next year’s Games. Emmanuel Tataw, as “Chef de Mission” of the Cameroonian delegation, represented the country at the event. It was his first official assignment after he was officially commissioned to his duties by Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, President of the Commonwealth Games Association Cameroon (CGA-CMR). During the commissioning event in July, he was handed the national flag and other instruments of office.
