Promoting Good Governance : Touching More Communities

The office of the Public Independent Conciliator for the North West Region had an interactive session with the Noni community on August 31, 2025.

Members of the Noni community in Bamenda have been enlightened on the mission and vision of the office of the Public Independent Conciliator (OPIC) for the North West to enhance good governance between councils and their citizens in the region. 
From launching the special campaign on August 1, 2025, the OPIC team has been turning full circle to ensure that the message reaches all villages of the region. It was the turn of the Noni community in Bamenda on August 31 2025. The event brought together members   representing all the six villages of Noni Subdivision in their community hall in Nkwen neighborhood. It was an opportunity for the team led by Research Officer, Dr Wuku Alfred Kudi to enlighten the Noni people on the institution. The Complaints Officer, Mbah Blaise drilled them on complaints management, the procedure for submission and resolution mechanisms. 
Then came the core presentation of the day on good governance presented by Barrister Dimla Hanson who took time off to drill his people in their native language for easy understanding. The interactive session gave them the opportunity to get lessons on accountability and participation in various Council activities with the objective of advancing development.
