President Paul Biya’s Candidacy : G20 Reaffirms Support

The Spokesperson of the Group, Dr. Benz Enow Bate over the weekend exchanged views with other political actors towards enhancing peaceful election.


The G20 (a group of political parties not represented in Parliament) have reiterated their support to the candidacy of President Paul Biya, candidate of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) for the October 12 polls. The spokesperson of the group, Dr. Benz Enow Bate, who is equally the National President of the Cameroon Democratic Party (CDP) notes that various consultations with political leaders of G20 in recent times are in a bid to guarantee a high score for Paul Biya at the Presidential polls. The consultations involve mobilising funds and coming up with strategies how to accompany the CPDM candidate to victory. “These consultations are very timely and fundamental at this time when Cameroonians are waiting for the official campaign to begin. The office of the President of the Republic is the highest in the nation and it is therefore necessary to have discussions with the leaders of different political parties and other stakeholders interested in the candidacy of President Paul Biya,” he stated.
