South West : NUDP National President Woos Populace

Bello Bouba Maigari was in Limbe on September 4, 2025 within the context of a pre-electoral campaign tour ahead of the upcoming presidential election.
The National President of the National Union for Democracy and Progress (NUDP), candidate for the October 12 Presidential election held a pre-campaign rally on September 4,2025 in Limbe, Fako Divisio, South West Region, with members of his political party and sympathizers. Addressing attendees of the NUDP rally, Bello Bouba Maigari explained that the future of Cameroon will never be built without the South West Region. “For too long, you have carried the burden of conflict, fear and neglect. But I say to you, enough is enough. The time for peace and dignity has come,” he opined. The former Minister of State, Minister ofTourism and Leisure made promises to the voters indicating that if elected President of the Republic on October 12, he will organise an inclusive national dialogue during the first six months of his term. “I will open the doors for negotiation with those willing to bring the war to an end and their leaders. Our children must return to school and our farmers must go back to their farms. Our trader must move freely once again,” the NUDP presidential aspirant told the crowd.
Bello Bouba also promised to grant the South West Region what he described as a truly special status which will give them the possibility to decide their own future, a status that will respect the region’s history, legal and educational traditions and gives it the right to manage their own future while remaining united in one Cameroon.
